Oaxaca, Oaxaca 1986. Graduated from the Benito Juárez Autonomous University of Oaxaca, he is a multidisciplinary visual artist who alternates painting, sculpture, photography and installation; using graphite as the main raw material. His work travels between landscapes, mountains, social and political issues of the territory.
Member of the Young Creators of FONCA in 2018 and 2020, he was selected by Tec de Monterrey for the first artistic residency on science and art for its MUI Museo Urbano Interactivo museum, located in Puebla. He has obtained national and international artistic residencies in the Foam and Nadine organizations of Brussels Belgium in Montreal Canada, La Ceiba Gráfica de Veracruz, among others.In 2020 Le Festival d'Arts Souterrain de Montréal awarded him a solo exhibition entitled Materia Prima through the Institut Culturel du Mexique.
Luis develops educational projects of artistic initiation for children and young people, he is the manager and curator of an artistic residency and exhibition space in Oaxaca. His work is in various private collections in Canada, Spain, Holland, Peru, Belgium, England, Germany, China, the United States, Mexico.
In February 2022, the photographic gallery ALMANAQUE directed by Arturo Delgado, will present the individual exhibition "Alchemist of images" with the curatorship of Dulce Pinzón, dedicated to the limits of the image in artistic practice.
