Jean-François Bouchard. (Canada, lives in New York City and Montréal). Working at the intersection of documentary and cinematic storytelling, Bouchard immerses viewers into the lives of his collaborators with a practice blend of photography, video and installations.

His work has been exhibited at Arsenal Contemporary Art, NYC, Montreal, and Toronto. Artnet selected his In Guns We Trust exhibition as a “Must-see show in NYC,” while ArtForum selected his Exile from Babylon show as “Editor’s Pick” in 2023. 

Bouchard has been published in The Washington Post, Stern Magazine, Wired, The Guardian, The British Journal of Photography, and many others and he is a winner of the Nannen Prize in Germany.

The New Cubans (PowerHouse Books, NYC-Éditions André Frère, Canada) was exhibited by Fisheye at Paris Photo 2024. (Fisheye Gallery). 

ALMANAQUE-fotográfica is proud to premier a selection of the series at Zona Maco 2025, followed by a solo exhibition at the gallery later this year.
