Sireno (male mermaid) is one of his main pieces of art. The name of this work is not accidental: this piece is not called Triton; it's called Sireno, and it evokes the mythical beauty of those fish-shaped figures, capable of captivating anyone who hears their singing and observes their silhouettes. Sireno is an ode to alternative masculine identities, to liberation and self-identity construction through language in the postmodernity times

Lives & works in Buenos Aires, Argentina

Federico Fernández is a young Argentinian photographer who has started his professional career in the world of fashion; and has become an artist along the way. Since he was a child, his family always encouraged him to explore and develop his creativity. His stylistic universe has high doses of fantasy, brightness, camp, youth and masculinity deconstruction.

"Sireno (male mermaid) is one of his main pieces of art.
