“COLOR! Ceremonies in Mexico” by Amanda Holmes & Renato Miller is a documentary photo project about ceremonial clothing throughout the seven cultural regions of Mexico. Its foundation is based on an ethnographic approach that encourages dialogue and participation with communities—through interviews with dancers, artisans, chroniclers, guardians of tradition—and the purpose of contributing to the preservation of cultural heritage.

ALMANAQUE-fotográfica presents two diptychs upon this Holmes & Miller’s series that will culminate in an extensive book to celebrate the diversity of expressions that give life to the traditions that make up our collective identity and the ability we have to create new cultural forms: “A glass of water in the wide river of -who we are-”
